While walking with colleagues, still undecided on where to have our dinner, we could really use a good suggestion right now. All the restaurants we can think of at that moment, we’ve already tried so I was a but excited when we decided to try out the newest Japanese restaurant in Burgos Circle.
Welcome to Soru Izakaya
The restaurant was almost full when we got there. From al-fresco dining to indoors, everyone is busy choosing from the 12-pager menu of what would surprise them for the evening.
We got our tables near the cashier (though the cashier area is separated by a bar-type partition so it’s not really a big deal. And on the other side is where the mighty chefs are preparing our food! The lantern in the ceiling is simple yet creative!
So, we ordered away and we had a handful of dishes to share to each other. The most enticing of them all is of course the Maki Lava with the colorful mayonnaise shaped into a dragon. Read the captions!
After these delicious creations, we were surprised with a Tiramisu for dessert! As they say, there’s always room for dessert! This one is a must try!
Soru originally hailed in Maginhawa. We are thankful you’ve graced BGC with your new branch. You can always opt to get your Japanese fix here anytime. Mind you, this place also has a bar upstairs if you want to match your japanese food with some booze! Here’s a tip – they have themed-nights every Friday and Saturday – but it’s up to you to find out what theme it will be!
Katzikat Recommends: I have had a nice dinner. My Gyudon (though I would prefer it to be a bit dry) is delightful enough I finished the entire bowl up to the last grain of rice. The Wagyu cubes is also super soft and matches really well with the 3 sauces served with it. The dragon Maki Lava is also a sight to see matching with the salad. Wether you come here for lunch or dinner, you will never ran out of choices.
