Single Mom ♥ Frustrated Influencer ♥ Research Analyst ♥ Banker ♥ Corporate Slave ♥ People Manager ♥ Friend
My humble beginnings from the province up north is not something extraordinary. Due to being so naughty and distressful, my mother had to send me to school 1 year early and no school would accept me because of age restrictions. My mom was insistent though. I became an elementary student a year earlier so as to prevent me from falling off from trees and any other accidents back then.
I have been wanting to start this blog for a very long time as I always wanted to become a writer. When I was young, my mom usually catches me talking to myself. You think it’s weird but my love for monologuing and expressing myself never left me.
I studied High School and College in the metro which exposed me to the city life and the fact that I have to be away from my parents at not the usual young age.
I entered the corporate world as a Research Analyst after I failed my board exams and climbed the corporate ladder for 11 years from my ever beloved Thomson Reuters.
It was also during my time with Thomson Reuters that I married, became a mom, met and managed different folks and colleagues, exposed to a lot of corporate shits. Among all those stints being a mom to a beautiful boy makes one of my journey in this life a rewarding one.
I moved on to another company and handled a different job. This was the first time I opened myself to another kind of work type. I lasted a year.
After many tries and series of interviews, I joined the #1 Bank in the world. Withstanding the test of OTs and sign offs and strict controls, I am still in awe that I am able to adapt to a Banker’s life.
At my age right now, I have been through many ups and downs but still life is exciting for me. I want to share to you my guiding principles in life and maybe you can adapt it too.
My Guiding Rules…
I like to think of myself as someone who can actually write as this is my attempt to enhance my self-proclaimed skills in writing. I love sharing stories. I love expressing my thoughts. I love being inspired. I love being me.
